Misconcepts: "God will never give you more than you can handle."

Verse is about temptation – Covey, Frankl, you will ALWAYS have a choice.

Burdens! Jesus died on the cross! Was that not more than he could bear?

Challenges to us come from several places:

1. Seeds we have sown; there are consequences to free will, yet we object when God does not prevent consequences. Weeds others have sown. Accidents and DNA accidents are also the result of a free will universe.

2. Temptations: God does not need to tempt us, as we provide that all on our own. James.

3. Learning: Hebrews 12:5-11. God can use the problems we experience to teach us.

4. God can respect freed will while also working in every situation to guide us to do what brings good from not so good – Romans 8. Key is adjusting to his purpose.
