Jesus is also Lord over the wind and the weather, to protect his followers.
The disciples are surprised. They saw the miracles yet their surprise reveals that they saw him as limited. They did turn to him in time of need … but in Mark it’s more a complaint than a prayer. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” – Mark 4:38
What are the commands of Jesus Christ which we need to obey? In disciple-making, Jesus commanded the following in Matthew 28:20: “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you…” What are the commands that we are to follow and teach others as identified by Jesus’ use of the imperative mood in the Greek?
